The SCBWI New York Winter Conference registration opens Thursday, October 24. The Conference dates are February 7-9, 2020 in New York City, New York.
This year’s event includes breakout sessions to explore your work with masters of children’s literature, including writes, illustrators, editors and agents.
The keynote talks will be delivered by:
- Newbery Honor winner Derrick Barnes
- Caldecott Medal winner Jerry Pinkney
- E.B. White Read Aloud Award winner Kate Messner
A panel of editors and agents will provide a look at the children’s book market of 2020. Registration includes free admission to the Golden Kite Gala Awards Presentation on Friday night, February 7, 2020.
Scholarships are available for student writers and student illustrators, and the IPOC Women’s Scholarship sponsored by Christopher Paul Curtis is currently open for submissions.
This Conference sold out in under a month last year, so if you are planning to attend, register early.
