Fonda Lee writes science fiction and fantasy for teens
and adults. She is an avid martial artist with black belts in karate and kung
fu, and goes mad for smart action movies (think The Matrix, Inception, and
Minority Report). Fonda’s the Willamette Writers Up and Coming Award winner for
2015 and her debut YA sci-fi action novel, Zeroboxer, is a Jr. Library Guild Selection, an Oregon Book Award finalist, and
has been named to the ALA’s Top 10 Picks for Reluctant Readers, the CCBC
Choices List, and VOYA’s annual list of the Best Science Fiction, Fantasy and
Horror. Fonda believes that phenomenal action writing is an often overlooked
aspect of strong writing, and aims to share with you principles, examples, and
tactics for making your readers’ hearts pound with adrenaline.
