On Friday, September 19, Aaron Becker, the Caldecott Medal Honor winner for the wordless picture book Journey, will appear at Ballard's Secret Garden Books at 7pm. Aaron's follows his beautiful debut with Quest, the second picture book in a planned trilogy.
Writer/illustrator Dana Sullivan will be teaching intro to illustration classes this fall. Intro to Graphic Novels at Bellevue College, Wednesday nights, 6-9 pm, Sept 17 – Nov 29. Using Manga, comics, graphic novels and picture books for examples, you will create your own visual masterpiece in six weeks.
